Nintendo unveiled a gameplay-packed trailer for Splatoon Raiders, the upcoming single-player-focused adventure game expanding the Splatoon universe.

Moving the franchise’s signature ink-slinging action into uncharted territory, the spin-off introduces a maritime hub known as the “hideout ship,” positioned out on the open water. The trailer establishes the central premise of hunting for valuable treasure across a collection of mysterious landmasses called the Spirhalite Islands. This perilous quest brings back the fan-favorite musical trio Deep Cut — Shiver, Frye and Big Man — who act as swashbuckling companions to the player’s custom character, a scrappy individual designated as “the mechanic.”
Previewed mechanics include customizable gadgets, upgradeable weapons and character personalization, allowing players to tailor their approach to combat and exploration. The trailer also emphasizes environmental storytelling, with ink-splattering battles unfolding across fractured coastlines, hidden ruins and salvage sites. Beyond solo play, the trailer confirms online and local co-op modes for up to three additional players, extending the game’s replayability.
Splatoon Raiders is set to release on July 23, 2026 on the Switch 2. The digital version is priced at just under $50 USD, while a physical copy retails for under $60 USD, both available for pre-order via the Nintendo store.
