‘Ninja Scroll’ Returns for Limited Theater Screenings in North America This October

Sentai Filmworks is bringing the 4K restoration of Ninja Scroll to North American theaters this fall. This follows the successful 30th anniversary re‑release in 2024 and builds on the film’s enduring legacy.

Directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri and originally released in 1993, Ninja Scroll is widely regarded as a seminal work in anime filmmaking, blending samurai action with supernatural intrigue. The restoration was meticulously produced by AMC Global Media’s Sentai under Kawajiri’s supervision, using a 4K scan of the original 35mm negative to repair damage and enhance color fidelity, ensuring archival quality for future audiences.
