The Gamescom Opening Night Live pre-show just delivered one of the most unexpected and terrifying reveals of the year. Just as the broadcast host lamented the lack of horror games in the event's lineup, the stream was hijacked by the eerie, static-laced debut trailer for The HERE, a brand-new title from Studio Survive.

As outlined in the official reveal details shown in "image.png", The HERE is a sci-fi survival horror game set aboard a derelict space station that has been overrun by horrifying, humanoid zombie-like creatures. To make it out alive, players will be forced to scavenge for limited resources while navigating deeply claustrophobic environments.

The footage showcases a chilling first-person perspective aboard the SARA International Spacestation, grounding the player with immersive, diegetic UI elements warning of a "Highly Dangerous Pillar Class Giant" in the area. The preview then transitions into a display of brutal, desperate combat, featuring the protagonist using a heavy sawblade weapon to shred through charging enemies.

Led by creative director Theodore Greer, Studio Survive is pulling no punches with this industrial sci-fi debut, clearly aiming to push the boundaries of the survival horror genre. We can expect to face our fears when The HERE officially launches in Fall 2027, with the trailer confirming a release for the PS5. Keep your eyes glued to Teddicated for more exclusive coverage as we edge closer to surviving the nightmare.
